Ash Cloud II – Eyjafjallajökull Eruption #ashtag

Published on May 9, 2010, by in Aviation News.

More disruptions are expected over European airspace thanks to a second wave of ash from the Icelandic volcano Eyjafjallajökull. Airspace over certain parts of Northern and Southern Europe is closed but air traffic is being diverted around the cloud.

British Airways suggests checking the status of your flights to make sure that your flight has not been delayed or cancelled due to the cloud.

Airports on the western coast of Ireland, were expected to be shut down at 2 p.m. GMT. Airports in Northern Italy, Spain and Portugal have already been closed because of the ash cloud.
