ATI DC-8-72 N722CX Awaits Scrapping

I photographed this DC-8-72, registration N722CX, at McClellan field in Sacramento CA over the summer. The plane, used to belonged to Finnair, then the French Air Force, where it engaged in VIP transport duties in combi configuration. From there, it went to ATI, who converted it to full cargo.

Now, the plane sits on ramp at McClellan in Sacramento, waiting for scrapping or a new owner. The engines are gone, as are the hydraulics by the looks of the flaps and other control surfaces.
