Here are a couple of videos from the Boeing 787′s maiden flight. It’ll be a good 2 years or so until we can actually ride one since the FAA still has to do their testing etc. I imagine that there will be some other glitches found along the way, much like there were glitches with the A380 but I think in the end it’ll all be worth the wait.

The plane is mostly carbon fiber with some titanium and probably some other exotic metals in the frame and whatnot. The thing that really grabs my attention tho, is how much the wings flex when the plane takes off.

I love the emotions in this next video. You can totally hear a guy say “Go baby go!” and you can just tell how excited he is to be there and to be witnessing the plane taking off.
