Blue Angels C-130 Hercules, "Fat Albert"

Published on May 26, 2011, by in General Aviation.

“Hey, hey, hey, it’s FAAAAAAAT Albert!” I don’t know why I like this silly plane, but I’ll pretty much always post a picture of Fat Albert whenever I can.

For those of you that don’t know, Fat Albert is the C-130 Hercules support plane of the Blue Angels.

The Blue Angel’s ground crew, spare parts, and other accoutrements fly in this C-130 Hercules. Without Fat Albert flying support, there would be no Blue Angels.

  1. Gotta love Fat Albert – at least he gets to be part of the show occasionally when they get the JATO going :-)
