The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is set to start flight testing in Japan in the fall of this year, if all goes according to plan. All Nippon Airways (ANA) pilots were the first non-Boeing pilots to fly the Dreamliner in Payne Field outside Seattle earlier this year.
ANA is a launch customer for the 787 and is supposed to get their first planes later this year.

Boeing Japan President Michael Denton said that testing will last about a week and will be conducted at various airports to be selected jointly between Boeing and ANA. The Dreamliner is 35% developed and made by three Japanese companies: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd., Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. and Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd.
