This plane is from GermanWings. It was photographed at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris. At first, I wasn’t sure what sort of creature they were aiming for with this livery.
At first, I was thinking Raccoon, but then I couldn’t figure out why it was all jaggedy like that. Then, I noticed the “Berlin, be a part of it” slogan, and I figured it out. Methinks it’s a bear.
I was watching TV the other day, and they said that the bear was a symbol of the City of Berlin. In that same show, they talked about how Berlin is undergoing a bit of an urban renovation, specially on the side that used to be East Berlin. So, it makes sense that a cosmopolitan bear, with retro sunglasses and whatnot would invite people to come be a part of Berlin’s revitalization.
What do you think it is?
