This is on St. Maarten, at Princess Juliana Airport. The story is that the island is so small that the runway barely fits so planes have to come in super low to make sure that they have enough time on the ground to slow down.

That is some hairy landing. Can you imagine how they sold that runway to the airlines? How about not having a clue that the planes come in that low and you’re just sitting there minding your own business when this big ol 747 comes in for a landing… yowza!
