Fly Dubai Expands With Routes To Kabul and Lucknow

FlyDubai has announced a new daily service to Kabul, Afghanistan starting on June 2nd. Pakistan International Airlines and India Airlines already operate regular flights to Kabul which seems to be one of the new “it” destinations of the middle east.

The Dubai based low cost carrier will also add flights to Lucknow in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh on June 2nd. Lucknow is its first destination in India. Service to Lucknow will be three times a week.

FlyDubai has added six new routes in the last six weeks and plans to announce four more routes in the next couple of months.

The company also expects to take delivery of five new Boeing 737-800 aircraft before the end of the year. These planes are part of the order of 54 Boeing 737-800s the airline placed at the Farnborough Air Show in July 2008.

FlyDubai also announced at the Aircraft Interiors Hamburg that it’s going to install a new in-flight entertainment into 44 of its planes. The system will be provided by Lumex IFE.
