According to Jaunted.com United Airlines is seriously in love with the Boeing 787. They just finished an order for 25 of the planes and are on the hook for $4 billion.

Apparently, United has the option to order an additional 50 jets, whenever Boeing can get around to building them.

All in all, there will soon be 3 B787s flying around over Seattle, and one of them even had a minor emergency with one of the engines. The affected plane landed without incident and is supposed to go back into the testing rotation soon. Methinks that best time for a plane to have problems like that is before they start loading passengers in them, but that’s just my opinion.

I don’t know about you, but I’m psyched about this new plane.
