Every time I see the name of this vessel, I think about that scene in the new Star Trek movie where Uhura basically bullies her way from the Farragut on to the Enterprise. I’ve always wondered what happened to the person that thought they were going to be the communication person on the Enterprise that Uhura supplanted. Did that person then have to go to the Farragut, or were they just re-assigned to some other position on the Enterprise? Also, Spock didn’t really put much thought or consideration into what was going to happen to that other person’s career, but that’s a whole other story.
